Purdue Usability Testing Questionnaire (PUTQ)

The last of the usability acceptance test questionnaire has finally arrived and it's called the Purdue Usability Testing Questionnaire or PUTQ for short.  It was first developed by Lin, H.X. Choong, Y.-Y., and Salvendy, G. (1997). These group of smart people call this, "A Proposed Index of Usability: A Method for Comparing the Relative Usability of Different Software Systems"  (Did I spell their names correctly?).  This user test is somewhat rather proportionately bigger than the previous ones mentioned because of the number of questions.

This usability acceptance test has a whopping 100 questions for the tester to enjoy!  Wait, there's more.  As your usability acceptance tester finishes the last 100th question they still need to list 3 negative aspects and 3 positive aspects of the Web site in testing.  Through out the test the tester has a grading scale that ranges from the same criteria as the previous test.  However, if you are reading this usability acceptance test (Pudue Usability Test Questionnaire) first then Web sushi is going to explain this for you here.

In this test, there's 7 ways to answer a test question, you could either grade the Web site with a 1 (meaning bad) or up to 7 (meaning good).  Of course, there is always an NA option for testers to choose as well.  Don't believe us? Well, check out the test for yourself here: http://oldwww.acm.org/perlman/question.cgi?form=PUTQ.
