Practical Heuristics for Usability Evaluation (PHUE)

Developed by Perlman, Gary in 1997, he based this user acceptance test in part on Nielsen's 1993 Heuristics and Norman's 1990 Principles.  According to Perlman, he states "Practical Usability Evaluation is an introduction to cost-effective, low-skill, low-investment methods of usability assessment [that includes the heuristic method or known as] inspection methods."  This inspection method helps developers find potential problems within the Web site.

This user acceptance test consists of 13 questions, an area for the tester to list 5 negative aspects, and an area for the tester to list 5 positive aspects.  The standard grading scale is from 1 to 7, meaning from bad to good.  Also, there is an optional NA answer to choose from.
