Computer System Usability Questionnaire (CSUQ)
This usability test looks at the interface of Web sites to see if the Web site does what it is supposed to do. Also, this test is Based on: Lewis, J. R. (1995) IBM Computer Usability Satisfaction Questionnaires: Psychometric Evaluation and Instructions for Use. International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, 7:1, 57-78. There are a total of 19 questions with 6 questions for the user to explain 3 negative aspects and 3 positive aspects. Furthermore, the rating scale is from 1 to 7 with 1 meaning ‘strongly disagree’ to 7 ‘strongly agree’ with the option for the tester to select NA if appropriate.On the Human-Computer Interaction Biography (HCIB) Web site that holds the abstract of this test explains further that, “[this] research in subjective usability measurement at IBM, focused on evaluating the psychometric properties of questionnaires designed for use in scenario-based usability evaluation. The questionnaires address evaluation at both a global overall system level and at a more detailed scenario level.” Therefore, this test is an extensive outlook at the qualitative (subject) areas from users.
