A User Centered Resource Site

Confidentiality

SSL

A user can see if a site is using an SSL by either the lock symbol within the address bar of the browser or byt the address bar being highlighted yellow. Another way to tell if no visuals are present is just to look that where normally one finds the http in the address there should be instead an https. This assures that the site the user is on is equiped with an SSL and is encrypted. Security measures must protect against disclosure of information to third parties other than the intended recipient. Information should be secured by means of encoding, using a defined algorithm and some secret information known only to the originator and the intended recipient(s) (cryptography).
